Man, Shmuel (Heinz)


Son of Elfriede and Max. He was born on April 15, 1919 in Berlin, Germany. In 1934, he immigrated to Eretz Israel as part of the Youth Aliya and joined his group for training in Kibbutz Ein Harod, where he worked in frameworks. He enlisted immediately when the Second World War broke out in November 1939 into the British Army and was assigned to the Engineering Corps. He served in Egypt and in Al-Almin. On December 17, 1942, he was killed as a result of the explosion of explosives and was brought to rest in the British Military Cemetery in Muaskar, Egypt, where his memory was immortalized in the book of volunteerism in the Yizkor book of the Jabotinsky Institute “The Yearbook of the Journalists”, 1946 and the Aliyat Hanoar Youth Association “Leaves”.
