At the beginning of May 1975, Aryeh was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Military Police Corps, where he was trained and served as a military policeman, and was promoted to the rank of corporal. In mid-June 1978, Aryeh was discharged from regular service to a reserve unit in the Military Police. On 28 Cheshvan, November 11, 1982, as a result of the explosion of a gas canister in the Military Court in Tire, the building collapsed and buried its inhabitants, among them Aryeh. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Tiberias. He was survived by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. Aryeh was a disciplined soldier, quiet and loyal, loved by his friends and commanders, and often volunteered for missions he performed in the best possible way.
