Avraham son of Aliza and Zion was born on January 22, 1953. He was loved by everyone, especially by his little nephews, which he devoted time to play with them. Avrum had a very developed sense of responsibility. He never allowed himself too much indulgence. Even when he was a boy, he went to work and earned a living. During his spare time and on vacation, he helped support his family. He managed to work and study, Avraham was drafted into the IDF in August 1971. After completing basic training, he took part in a reconnaissance patrol course and was assigned to a reconnaissance unit of the Armored Corps, and was trained as a reconnaissance officer in the reconnaissance company in Sinai. He was successfully assigned to the Armored Corps company, where he served as a squad commander, and his commanders gave him a lot of confidence because of his high level of professionalism, his devotion to the goal, and his meticulousness in carrying out the tasks he was assigned. He did not tell much about his difficulties in the army or about his achievements, and during his short vacations he used to be at home and go to Gaza On October 13, 1973, Avrum fell in combat during an attempt by his company to rescue a group of soldiers from the Jerusalem Brigade who called for help in the hills of Hamutal and volunteered to go out with the company, In the bitter battle that his company waged with the enemy in that area,he fell with most of his fellow fighters, and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Holon, leaving behind his parents and seven brothers and sisters. : “Your son was an excellent commander, quiet and dedicated, and in his fighting saved and saved many of his friends.”
