From the age of three, he studied in cheder, and when he was ten years old, he moved to a religious state school called Sinai. On June 2, 2013, Netanel enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces. On weekend leave during Operation Tzuk Eitan, after dinner Netanel and his brother Tamir went to refuel at the entrance to Gan Yavneh. Upon their return, an alarm was sounded as a result of a rocket launching in the direction of Gan Yavneh. HIs brother managed to get out of the car and land on the ground, but Netanel was still in the car when the rocket exploded next to him and he was very seriously injured. During the week his condition deteriorated, and he died on the third of Elul 5764. Netanel was twenty-one years old when he fell and was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Gan Yavneh cemetery.
