Maman, Eliahu


Son of Avraham and Tamo. He was born on February 10, 1948. In Morocco, he studied in an elementary school, and his family immigrated to Israel in 1963. In November 1966, he was drafted into compulsory service, on the 18th of Elul 5727 (September 23, 1967) On the way from Rafah to El-Arish, he was laid to rest at the cemetery in Migdal Ashkelon, and in a letter of condolences to the bereaved parents, the battalion commander wrote among other things: “He was always on top of his combat and his friends. The short time he served in his units was liked by all his commanders and friends. ” In the book “Yad LaNovelim – Bnei Ashkelon” published by the municipality, his name was immortalized.
