Maman, Chanan

Chanan, son of Miriam and Albert Maman, was born in Jerusalem in 1993. Chanan made sure to help everyone who found difficulty and constantly instilled in them all the motivation to continue and not to give up. Chanan enlisted in the IDF on March 4, 2012, and served in the “Davor” ships in the south of the country. Chanan was an outstanding soldier and seaman, ready for every task, easy and difficult, at any time. Chanan fell in the line of duty on 19 Tamuz, June 27, 2013. He was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl, Jerusalem, leaving parents and four brothers and sisters. On Tu B’Av 5774 (August 11, 2014), a Torah scroll was placed in the synagogue adjacent to the family’s home in Jerusalem, and was brought to the synagogue in a procession that left the family’s home.
