Maltinsky, Dan (Dandush)

Son of-Ami and Miriam. He was born on October 4, 1957 in Hadera. He studied at the Arlozoroff Elementary School in Hadera and at the Neurim High School in Netanya, where Dandush was a quiet and comfortable child, always smiling, and he loved to do things and decided to continue his high school studies in the field of electric-vehicle. He was a member of the Hapoel Hadera organization and in November 1975 he was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Ordnance Corps as an electrician. Danny demanded that he be transferred to a “combat” combat unit, and that if his request was denied, he would complain to the Admissions Commissioner in the IDF, and a week later he was transferred to Golani as an APC electrician. Indeed, there he found his place. He stood out for his talents in the field of his business, invented patents to detect faults in the vehicle and was rewarded by his commanders. Danny loved his place of service, marveled at the beauty of the surrounding landscape and was proud of his role and position in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the 7th of Adar 5738 (March 7, 1978) “Danny was born to be a Golani man,” his commanders said, “a man like him does not forget,” his friends said.
