Malkieli, Yosef (Yossi)


Son of Moshe and Tzipora. He was born on the 11th of Nisan 5706 (April 3, 1955) in Moshav Beit Nehemiah. He studied at the Moriah Elementary School and at the “Kiryat Noar” vocational school in Jerusalem. Yossi was drafted into the IDF in July 1973, as a member of the Nahal Brigade that belonged to the village of Ginat in the Golan Heights. During the Yom Kippur War he participated in the battle in the Gaza Strip and received the War of Independence Medal, Yom Kippur War “and the” Operational Service Award. “Yossi was a self-contained and yet open-minded fellow who always tried to help and support his friends, and his loyalty was a characteristic of him: his commanders admired him as a very disciplined soldier and his friends loved and admired him. During the period of his service, he fell during his service during a trip to Nahal Dargot, and was brought to rest – The family commemorated the establishment of a charity fund.
