Malka, Shlomo
Son of Amram and Mazal. Born in Kfar Sava on October 20, 1958, he studied at the Yavneh Elementary School in Netanya and continued his studies at the “New High School” in Netanya, and as his mother notes, Shlomo loved school and studies “After two years of high school, he decided to continue studying at the vocational high school until he joined the IDF. Shlomo was a healthy and friendly child. Thanks to his sense of humor, he liked his friends and was very popular in society. In his youth he belonged to Maccabi Hatzair in Netanya. He loved music and was a member of the municipal orchestra. He liked to write songs. As a son of a large family, he helped his mother a lot in housework and in caring for his younger siblings. He was devoted to his family and sang a pleasant atmosphere at home. Shlomo was drafted into the IDF in February 1977. After basic training he was sent to the Golan Heights and served there as a gunner, and he continued to maintain close contact with his family and asked to move to a base near his house so that he could continue to help his mother. (9.11.1977) Shlomo was killed while serving in the Golan Heights and was buried at the military cemetery in Netanya and left behind his parents and four brothers.
