Maimon, Abraham Patrick


Son of Victoria and Victor. Born on 27.6.1959 in Beer Sheva, second son to a family of four. His childhood and some of his youth were spent in Dimona. Avraham studied at the Rotham elementary school and in the southern middle school. When Abraham was eleven, his father died in a work accident. The mother alone supported the family, raising and educating the children. When Avraham became sixteen, he joined the “Young Training” framework at Kibbutz Ein Harod Meuhad. According to the group’s guide, Avraham was intelligent and intelligent, well-absorbed in society and active in initiating social activities. He liked to play sports and stood out as a great soccer player. Abraham took great care of his family. His main concern lay with his younger brothers, who would continue their studies at the school and be found in a suitable educational framework. In the middle of April 1977, Avraham was drafted into the IDF, where he underwent basic training and was assigned to the General Staff. In April 1980, Avraham was released from the IDF and returned to Dimona, where he joined a work place as well as a social framework On February 17, 1985, Avraham was called to reserve duty and was engaged in security missions. He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, and was survived by his mother, sister Hanna and two brothers – Michel and Ofer
