Magira, Asher

Son of Shalom and Varna. He was born on 25.3.1955 in Mogador, Morocco. He immigrated to Israel with his family in September 1955 and settled in Acre. Who studied at the “Tomer” elementary school and continued at the naval officers’ school in Acre. From childhood he loved music. From the age of ten he was a member of the youth orchestra in Akko, as a drummer. Who was also an athlete. He played and taught in basketball, he successfully passed a diving course. At the Naval Officers’ School, he came to the position of a sailor. Who served as a volunteer educational instructor at the officers’ school. He was a member of the municipal youth council and also served as a youth counselor at summer camps. Who is blessed with Yaffa qualities: integrity, responsibility and dedication to others and a role. A handsome young man, tall, bright-faced and pleasant. Who was drafted into the IDF in mid-March 1975 and assigned to the Naval Officers Course on April 1, 1975, returning from the funeral of his good friend, Shmuel Ozerowitz, who was killed in a road accident. In the military cemetery in Nahariya, leaving behind his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
