Magidna, Sami (Samir)

Sami, son of Morad and Sayeda Magidna, was born on October 8, 1946 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. Sami was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in October 1964 and served in the Armored Corps, and after completing his army service he was called up for reserve duty. In Bir Hama, Sinai, on the third day of the battles, 28 Iyar, 7.6.1967, he fell as he was driving a half-track. He was buried in the military emergency cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
