Magidash, Raphael


Son of Massa and blessed, was born on December 30, 1961 in Kfar Saba. Rafi, as his friends called him, studied at the Aharonovitch Elementary School in Kfar Malal and completed his studies at the “Ami Assaf” vocational high school in Beit Berl, where he was certified as a mechanic. Rafi was involved in the social activities in his residence, Elishama, and was a prominent figure in the company. He liked football, riding horses and raising them. At the same time, he found time to help his family in the family farm, and helped his younger brothers and sisters study. Prior to his induction into the IDF, he successfully completed a pre-military driving course, and Rafael joined the IDF in early January 1980 and after basic training he was assigned to the armored brigade, where he served as the driver of the brigade. On February 18, 1982, Rafi took part in Operation Peace for the Galilee as a truck and ambulance driver, and Rafi fell during his service and was put to rest at the Magdiel cemetery. He left parents, six brothers and four sisters
