Madanik, Moshe


Son of Menachem and Sarah. He was born on January 10, 1935, in the city of Yanov, near Pinsk, Poland, and after the family immigrated to Israel, he began to study in an elementary school in Haifa and later visited an Alliance school in evening classes. “And was a columnist for the movement’s monthly newspaper in Haifa, where he worked as a sketcher at the main office of the Electric Company in Haifa (until he joined the IDF in May 1954). As a member of the Council of the Catechumens, he fulfilled his task with extraordinary loyalty, out of great concern for his friends and goodwill and willingness to sacrifice his own good for the benefit of others. Because of his warm and loving attitude to everything around him, he was loved and admired by his friends and superiors alike. He fell in a battle in El Arish in Sinai during the 28th of March 1957. He was buried in the Military Emergency Cemetery in Bari and on Thursday, March 10, 1957, was transferred to the eternal military cemetery in Haifa
