Madani, Shalom


Son of Ovadia and Gumeri. Born in 1937 in the city of Sha’ba in Yemen, the family immigrated to Israel in 1949. He worked as an agriculturist and proved his diligence at work and loved to help others in the IDF. . Even at the outbreak of the Six-Day War, the first day of its battles, on the 5th of Iyar 5727 (June 5, 1967), fell in the battle of Eyal in the West Bank. He was a good soldier, naturally quiet and disciplined, and filled every order and order with perfection. He left a wife and four children, the youngest of whom was about a year and a half old; His wife was pregnant when they fell. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. In the album “The Sharon Bloc in the Six Day War”, which was issued by the command of his brigade, his memory was commemorated by printing his photograph.
