She was laid to rest in the Ashkelon cemetery, and was survived by her parents and sister Lieutenant Colonel Zion Dagan, the unit’s commander, Wrote to the family these condolences: “With our heads bowed and in heart, we must return to our routine and we can not believe and digest the death of your daughter Sabata. It seems that words and sentences can not express the enormity of the terrible, terrible and terrible disaster that has befell us all. The road accidents continue, unfortunately, to strike waves at us and hurt every good part – until when does this evil happen? We do not have the strength of the soul and the spiritual power to comfort you; But I want to assure you faithfully that the image of Sabata will remain engraved on our hearts, and we take it upon ourselves to adopt its path and learn from its actions and movement, which were undoubtedly an example to all. From this we will leave it with us here alive and there for eternity, and perhaps this is perhaps a source of comfort. The commanders and soldiers of the unit bow their heads in memory and participate in your grief and sorrow. May you know no more sorrow. R.I.P”.
