Son of-Sarah and Zvi was born on November 8, 1937, in Bucharest, Romania, he immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1947. In 1954, Yehuda enlisted in the IDF and served in the Engineering Corps in the Combat Battalion, serving in combat engineering and specializing in the treatment of landmines. In this capacity Yehuda fought in the Sinai Campaign in 1956, during the Six-Day War and in the Yom Kippur War. Yehuda was considered a professional platoon sergeant, and in July 1956 he rose to the rank of sergeant, while Yehuda continued his training and training, even during his reserve service. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, on October 7, 1973, he rose to the rank of major sergeant, and during his civilian life Yehuda held key positions in Kibbutz Sarid and the Kibbutz Movement, where he served as a farm coordinator for three years, He completed his studies in economics and political science at the University of Haifa, received a bachelor’s degree and was assigned to run a factory in his kibbutz, where he continued to study for a master’s degree, and in 1962 he married a wife and had three children. Despite his many occupations, as a factory manager and as a university student, he found time to devote himself to his family, to educate his children and to teach On October 12, 1980, the Engineering Corps reconnaissance unit, in which Yehuda served, was to evacuate minefields that remained in the Golan Heights from the period before the Six-Day War, and were mostly veterans in the profession, serving many years as experts in the field Yehuda was able to be discharged from this role due to his age, but he preferred to continue to serve and maintain the connection that had developed between him and the group of people with whom he served for many years in the IDF. On the 22nd of October, 1980, the battalion’s command unit entered a minefield. Yehuda found an old mine, and while we warned his friends of the danger, the mine exploded and Judah was killed. He was 43 years old when he died.
