Ben Rachel and me. He was born in Netivot, a brother of Avi, Arnit, Shani, Shirel and Daniel, when he moved to Neveh Dekalim in Gush Katif at the age of 7. He attended elementary school and junior high school Katif. “He spent his high school years at the high school yeshiva in Kfar Maimon, volunteering at MDA in Netivot for his free time. Israel was a dedicated volunteer who always sought help and used to spend his vacations voluntarily at the Gaza Coast Security Center. After completing his studies at the yeshiva, on November 25, 2002, Israel enlisted in the IDF, to “Givati.” The main reason for this was that he wanted to keep his house, since the Givati Brigade was located in the Gaza Strip where he lived. Israel refused to accept sick leave because he knew that this meant that another soldier would have to remain in the base, and Israel was willing to give his life to the people, to the people and the Land of Israel, and all his life was based on helping others and doing good deeds. He was loved by all of them, got along with everyone, loved peace and made peace, and always served as an attentive ear to his friends. In the Battle of Gush Katif, St.-Sgt. Israel Lotti was killed in the battle at the Morag outpost, and was survived by his parents, brother, three sisters, brother-in-law, Father of Israel, writes about him: “We think that the will that Israel left for us and for the nation as a whole is giving, charity and love of the Holy Land, these are the three things that characterized it.” To commemorate Israel, a plot of forest was planted in the Meitar Forest by the MDA Director of Negev, Yehuda Shushan, in cooperation with the JNF Southern District of Gilat, planting the Tu Bishvat 5765. Following the “disengagement” process, Israel was brought to the military section of the Nitzan cemetery for burial again on the 25th of Menachem Av – 5765 after being transferred from Gush Katif.
