Lorch, Ruth


Daughter of Dr. Mordechai and Dr. Hanna. She was born on November 24, 1932 in Nuremberg, Germany. Immigrated to Israel with her parents in 1935. Graduated from Beit Hakerem High School. She belonged to the Scouts movement in Jerusalem. In 1948 she participated in the construction of fortifications in the outskirts of the city. She traveled extensively in Israel and was well acquainted with it. Aspired to be involved with her friends but also tended to be isolated and often raised words of poetry. Until her enlistment, she served in the Gadna Brigade and was drafted into the IDF in 1950 and fell during her duties on the 12th of Adar II (March 20, 1951). Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
