Livni, Edna


Daughter of Zvi and Rachel. Born on 18.8.1954 in Moshav Hazoreim, she began studying at the local school and continued at the religious state school in the Lavi group, and was a member of the Bnei Akiva religious youth organization. She went on a tour with her friends and many friends and corresponded with many pen pal friends from all walks of life, and continued her studies at the Bnei Akiva school in Kfar Pines, which is a very religious high school “Edna, who was a member of a religious family, decided to fulfill her obligation to her homeland and enlist in the IDF. Edna enlisted in the IDF in October 1972 and was assigned to the Israel Air Force, thanks to her diligence and dedication to her job and above all due to her absolute loyalty to the religion and tradition of Israel, won her respect and appreciation among her commanders and friends. In mid-June 1973, she was injured when she went to visit her sister in a hospital and five weeks later, on 21 July 1973, she fell in her role as a nurse in a cemetery in Moshav Hazoreim. The family wrote to her family: “Edna was a model soldier and a very nice girl Tsuen better help everyone. She performed her role as a soldier in the best way, in a responsible and orderly manner, since as a religiously observant and observant girl she discovered a high work ethic, a strong will and a willingness to follow the orders of her commanders. Edna played a vital and responsible role in the unit – – – as part of her work liked her workmates, because her wonderful treatment of people and her interest in their problems was a prominent feature of her character.
