Lipin, Yitzhak (Itzik)


Son of Leah and David, was born on September 12, 1928 in Kfar Vitkin. A member of a working family. He first grew up in a kindergarten, then in an elementary school, and then studied for two years in the following classes. At the age of 14 he was taken away from his father and he was forced to assume the responsibility of the head of the family, and they were very devoted. After graduating from elementary school, he moved to Haifa to study the electricity industry. With the establishment of the Jewish Brigade he joined the British army but was released to work in the agriculture. For two years he also served as a patrolman and completed a driving course. With the outbreak of the War of Independence he enlisted and served in the Alexandroni Brigade, although he played an important defensive role in his place of residence. To his mother he said that the black frames in the newspapers about fallen boys called him to go to the defense of the country surrounded by hatred. He felt that his training was perfect. Yitzhak fell on the 5th of Iyar 5708 (May 13, 1948) when he volunteered to remove wounded soldiers from the battlefield in the village of Tira, in the Tel Mond bloc, and was brought to rest at the cemetery in Tel Mond.
