Lior, Ilan

Son of Yosef and Tony. He was born in 1946 in Russia and immigrated to Israel in 1950. Ilan was drafted into the IDF in August 1964 and volunteered for the air force. He had registered for regular service and had not progressed until he finally came to the rank of lieutenant. He had the impression of a serious, kind, talented man. Once Ilan went abroad and since his traces were not found, Ilan was considered to be absent on July 30, 1968. In his memory, a memorial monument was placed in the missing section of the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. A space whose burial place is unknown.
