Linzenberg, Alon


Alon, son of Shoshana and Shlomo, was born on August 18, 1952, in Haifa. Alon was drafted into the IDF in early October 1970. When he was a young boy, he dreamed of flying and pilots had a symbol and an example of admiration, but when he reached the time of his enlistment, Alon chose the Golani Brigade to claim that his training at the military boarding school meant that he was serving in the infantry. He flooded us with dozens of questions and immediately felt that his image filled the entire bunker. He immediately entered the post, organized the distribution of food and ammunition, and later replaced Udi son of-Gera HYD “D, commander of outpost 109.” On Thursday, October 18, 1973, when he and his subordinates worked together, a heavy bombardment was launched and was hit by shell fragments that exploded next to it. He was evacuated from the scene while fully conscious, but after a while he died of his wounds. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to captain.
