Limo, Abraham (Avi)
Avraham ben Ruchama and Zion. He was born in Jerusalem on the 16th of Cheshvan 5738 (28.10.1977) and was named Avraham after his two grandfathers. In the time between his high school graduation and his enlistment in the IDF, Avraham studied in the pre-army academy in Etir, in a desert area. In March 1996, after four months of preparation, Basic training in the Egoz reconnaissance unit, six months in the reconnaissance unit, Avi underwent a course for commanders and was assigned to training recruits. At the end of the training course, Avi moved to the auxiliary company to serve a more combat service in Lebanon. On the 3rd of Sivan, May 27, 1998, Avi left with a combat force for an ambush in Lebanon, where he was hit by a bomb and killed at the age of 20. Avi, survived by his parents, four sisters, Ora, Edna, Shlomit and Tamar, and brother Roni, was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in the city he loved so much.
