Lilinfeld, Amos
Son of Ehud and Edith. He was born in Nahariya on November 3, 1946. When he reached school he studied at the Remez School and completed his studies there, and later attended the Katznelson vocational high school there. He worked in carpentry and was chosen as an outstanding apprentice by the Ministry of Labor in 1965. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement, was a sportsman and built himself a boat in which he would spend his time Some of his spare time, punctual and meticulous, and he did not take anything out of his hands that he did not think he would pay, with good manners that attested to the good education that his parents’ home had earned. After his enlistment in the IDF in August 1965, he passed several courses of commanders and reached the rank of sergeant and despite the fact that he was a member of the army, His inherent nature was outstanding in presenting himself as an example to his comrades as a commander. One of his commanders testified that he was disciplined and full of volunteer spirit and willingness to help his comrades in battle. He participated in the Six-Day War and six months later fell in the line of duty. This was on the 11th of Kislev 5728 (13.12.1967). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Several pages were devoted to his history and description of his character in the booklet “In memory of the sons of Nahariya who fell in battle”. His comrades-in-arms took out a pamphlet bearing his name and his memory.
