Lifshitz, Zvi


Son of Minna and Shimshon. Born in 1916 in Birez, Lithuania, his father was active in Zionist and public activities and was a member of the Jewish Bank in the city, where he studied at the Hebrew School and excelled in his studies. After completing his elementary studies, his father sent him to study at the Hebrew Gymnasium in Punebaz, and in 1935 he emigrated to Eretz Israel and settled in Magdiel where he worked for a living in agriculture and construction, and joined the Haganah in 1937. In 1937 he was drafted to the town’s Notre Dame. ), At the height of the events, Zvi went with two other guards to tour the boundaries of the colony and when they reached the deep valley near the east of the settlement, They are crossfire from the direction of the wadi.
