Lifshitz, Dr. Naftali-Hertz (Nefesh)

Son of Sarah and Elyakim. Born in Lodz, Poland, on October 23, 1898, he graduated from the Faculty of Law in Vienna and was ordained as a lawyer. In the 1920s Naftali immigrated with his mother to Eretz Israel and joined his brother Elimelech. During the bloody riots of 1936-1939, he volunteered for various guard positions in Haifa and on May 11, 1939, he fell in the line of duty. Naftali was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery. He left a wife and a daughter.
