Lieberzon, Moshe (“Moshito”)

Lieberzon, Moshe (“Moshito”)

Son of Zeev and Hannah. He was born on April 22, 1935 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As loyal Zionists, the parents gave their son a Hebrew-Zionist education from the kindergarten to the Bialik school. As a result, he was proud of his Jewishness, and while sitting on the bench, he dealt with a non-Jewish student who dared to harm his Jewishness. He was a graduate of the “ORT” school in Argentina and with the desire to prepare himself for immigration to Israel, he learned the profession of retouching. Immigrated to Israel in 1953. In the short time he was able to sit there he fulfilled all the pioneering precepts – first at the Kinneret and Gniger training and finally as a member of Kibbutz Nir Am. Being the only needle in the area, the kibbutz wanted to detain him, but he refused and went to the IDF in November 1955. On the 26th of Tishrei 5726 (26.9.1956) he was the first to storm the fortress of Husan and even the first to fall in the same battle. “I can deceive the commander, but I can not deceive myself.” He was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Military Cemetery in Kiryat Ono, – his memory was raised in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Wars of the Paratroopers”
