Lieberman, Yosef (“Yossi”)


Son of Haim and Nehama (Natka). He was born on September 4, 1946 in Ramat Gan to parents who immigrated to Belgium in 1934. He studied at the Ahad Ha’am Elementary School in Tel Aviv and after completing his studies Where he graduated from the local high school A. He was a member of the united movement and later belonged to the movement’s training nucleus, was interested in art in general and in dance in particular and organized folk dance groups. In January 1965 he was drafted into the Nahal Brigade because of his inclination to agriculture, although he passed the initial training period, but due to his health he was not allowed to parachute and undergo advanced training. After completing his army service three weeks ago, he left the farm, mainly because of personal and familial reasons, and lived in his home. His eyes always played, his mouth was smiling, and he was optimistic until his last moment, and shortly after his regular service began, the waiting period before the Six-Day War began and Yossi turned and asked To recruit him again and indeed was answered and attached to a new unit, and on the first day of the battles, he was 26 Iyar 5727 (5.6.1967) Pal in a battle held at the Palace of the Commissioner in Jerusalem, the capital. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
