Lidner, Moshe


Son of Rachel and Abraham, was born in 1909 in Galicia, Poland. After graduating from elementary school, he moved to a vocational school. In 1933 he immigrated to Israel and three years later married a wife. At first he worked in agriculture and clerks, but after a while he settled in Petah Tikva and began to do business. He was active in HaPoel Hamizrachi in the colony, a member of the Haganah, a unit in Petach Tikvah, and during the War of Independence he served in the Alexandroni Brigade On July 15, 1948, on his way to the post of Rosh Ha’ayin, The Beilinson Hospital, where he died of his wounds on the 14th of Tamuz, July 21, 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Petach Tikva, leaving a wife and three children.
