Lex, Zvi (“Tzvika”)


Son of Jacob and Miriam. Born on the 27th of Shvat, 5711 (1951) in Rehovot, and attended the “Geulim” elementary school in Kiryat Bialik. Zvi was an active member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. After graduating from elementary school, he studied at the Naharayim vocational high school (near the Israel Electric Corporation) in Haifa. He was an enthusiastic athlete, took part in soccer matches and loved swimming. Zvi was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of November 1969. After completing basic training, he was assigned to the Armored Corps School for Tanker Training, and did not finish the course. On the 11th of Adar 2, 5706 (March 19, 1970), he fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
