Levinsky, Israel


Son of Yocheved and Hanoch, was born on October 31, 1928 in the city of Bialystok, Poland. When he was one year old, he immigrated with his family to Eretz Israel. He studied at the Herzliya Gymnasium and after completing his studies he worked in knitting to help his parents, but at the same time continued his studies. He was a member of the Mahanot Ha’olim movement and of the age of 14. He was a member of the Hagana, and as a member of the Haganah, he served in the Kfar Yehoshua, Ramat Yochanan and finally Kfar Giladi and Maayan Baruch, In the second attack on the Nebi Yusha police force, which took place on the night of April 19-20, 1948, the saboteurs attacked the Nabi Yosha police station, They broke through the fences, approached the building and began to lay down the explosives, while grenades were thrown at them, causing the casualties.
