Levin, Pesach


Son of Rachel and Chaim, he was born onthe 11th of Iyar, April 29, 1920 in the city of Vengerov, Poland and was educated in a traditional home. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1935. There he worked with his father in leather processing, and devoted his time to Bible study and other subjects. In the ranks of the Haganah, he was a member of the Hanoar Hazioni Movement and continued to follow in the ways of Jewish tradition. During the War of Independence he served in the Givati ​​Brigade, fought on the Southern front. Pesach fell at the Barka outpost, opposite Ashdod, on Saturday, 10 Tammuz 5708 (17.7.1948) at 4 a.m. when a bomb exploded and Pesach was killed.
He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Gan Yavneh.
