Levin Moshe


Son of Zvi and Leah. Born on 18.11.1931 in the city of Lopany, Romania, the family was born in a family of rabbis in Galicia, and was deported from Poland in 1947 and immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1943. within a number of years After completing his regular service, he was called up to reserve duty and was also there during the Six-Day War. Moshe fell in the unit that fought for the outposts of Ya’bad in Samaria and the mission was carried out under strong fire and darkness and Moshe’s unit suffered many losses. Despite the strong enemy fire, the crew under his command continued to operate the mortar and paralyze the enemy positions, but while assisting, he was hit by an enemy bullet and fell; It was the second day of the fighting, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967). He left a wife and three daughters. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and was later transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. His name is mentioned in the book “The Men of Steel” by Eliezer Golan.
