Levin, Michael (Michael)
Michael Levin, is the son of Harriet and Meir Hacohen (Mark). He was born on the 17th of Adar 5744 (Feb 17, 1984) in the United States.
Michael immigrated to Israel in 2003, at the age of nineteen.
He joined the IDF on August 30, 2004, and served as an infantry fighter in the “Bezeq” Battalion 890 in the Paratroopers Brigade.
First sergeant Michael Levin was killed in a battle in southern Lebanon during the Second Lebanon War on August 1, 2006. He was twenty-two years old when he fell and was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
On his tombstone was engraved: “An American saint whose love for God and for Israel is eternal.”
