Levi, Yitzhak (“Nana”)


Son of Moshe and Louisa. He was born on July 14, 1952 in Spain. At the age of five he began studying in a Talmud Torah in the city of Melilla and at the same time studied in a Sephardic school. He was a noble child, diligent in his studies and devoted to his parents, teachers and friends. Despite the great distance he took an interest in what was going on in Israel, followed through the newspapers on the history of Israel and strove to come to his country to live there and, if necessary, to fight for it under her banner. In 1968 he immigrated to Israel as a volunteer who came to defend his homeland. He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in the middle of May 1970 and was assigned to the Armored Corps, where he served with dedication and loyalty and completed his duties with honors On 13.1.1971 he fell while serving in the Canal area after only a few months of service, World at the Dimona Cemetery.
