Levi Yitzhak


Son of Rachel and Menuch. Yitzhak (Itzik) was born in Tel Aviv on October 20, 1965. He completed his basic studies at the Sprinzak School in Holon. After graduating from elementary school, he enrolled in the technical center in Holon, specializing in electricity and air conditioning. At the age of sixteen, Itzik was hired as an apprentice at the national headquarters of the police in Jaffa, and for two years at the same time he worked in the police liaison department. At the recruitment party his colleagues in the department promised him by a personnel officer who, after completing his service in the army, could return to the department, even though he did not have a technician’s certificate, because of the satisfaction of his superiors. A few months after his release, in 1987, Itzik returned to the police, to the communications department, and served on the team of high antenna facilities in all the police bases in Israel. Two years later, at his request, he went to serve in a reconnaissance unit and was stationed at the Holon station, where he served as a scout until his last day. On February 26, 1994, during an Arab riot in Jaffa following the murder at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, Itzik rescued the commander of the Ayalon region, Commander Rudman from death, when the latter was attacked by a mob of rioters. Itzik was honored for his courage and courage. Itzik loved life and enjoyed every moment, and at every opportunity he went out to have fun. He was very popular with his friends from school, the army and the police. He loved to go down to Eilat to dive and hang out, he loved cars and pistols. On June 7, 1994, during an educational and recreational tour of Holon’s Holon station, Sergeant Itzik and his colleague Avraham Bakish were killed in a car accident, when their vehicle overtook a traffic island and overturned. Itzik was twenty-nine when he fell. He was buried in the cemetery in Holon
