Levi, Yehoshua


Son of Esther and Gabriel, was born on December 14, 1930 in the city of Salonika, Greece. In 1934 he immigrated to Israel with his parents and when he completed his studies at the school he studied the work of the frames in one of the British army camps. He immediately acquired the trust of the officer in charge of the place. This trust he used in favor for the Haganah, which would have obtained various important devices for it. In 1945 he joined the ranks of the Haganah and from that day on he was one of the first volunteers to join the War of Independence and defended the old center in the lower city. (April 23, 1948) and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
