Levi, Yaakov

Yaakov (Yaki), son of Viza and Leon, was born in Hadera on April 1, 1949. Yaakov was drafted into the IDF in early August 1967, and volunteered for the paratroopers because he wanted to serve in a combat unit. During the Yom Kippur War, Yaakov participated in battles against the Egyptians on the Sinai front. On the 21st of Tishrei 5734 (17.10.1973) Jacob fell in battle in the area of ​​the “Chinese farm” in the central sector. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife and daughter, parents and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to captain.
