Levi Shlomo (“Moni”)


Shlomo, son of Menachem and Matti Levi, was born in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, on July 18, 1920. He was a member of the underground, and in August 1948 he was drafted into the IDF and fought in the War of Independence in Jaffa. He also participated in the Sinai Campaign and at the outbreak of the Six-Day War he was called to serve and on the 29th of Sivan 5727 (7.7.1967) he died as a result of illness. He left a wife and three daughters. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
