Levi, Shaul

Ben Gracia and Shlomo. Was born on 23 September 1951 in Tel Aviv, the eldest brother of Sarah and Yair. Shaul attended an elementary school in Tel Aviv and successfully completed his high school studies at the agricultural boarding school. During his military service Shaul studied at the School of Practical Engineering at Tel Aviv University and became a certified technician. At the beginning of November 1970, Shaul enlisted in the IDF, where he began his military service in the air force and was trained as a technician to maintain the Mirage radar – the crowning glory of those days. After the Yom Kippur War, when the IDF began absorbing sophisticated weapon systems, Shaul took part in building the infrastructure and accompanying the first line of the technical system, and Shaul joined the ranks of the career army and continued to carry out his duties with dedication and devotion. In late September 1981 Shaul married Nina and they had two daughters, Dana and Liron, and in 1989 Shaul completed an administrative course at the Center for Advanced Studies in Management at Bar-Ilan University, where he died of a serious illness on Sunday, (10.6.1994) and was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant at the age of forty-three when Shaul fell, leaving a widow, two daughters, a mother, a sister, and a brother in a letter of consolation to the family: “Shaul was described by his commanders as a soldier who showed great resourcefulness Who distinguished the entire reserve force, managed wisely and with a smile to achieve what was done in other places with shrill voices, a friend and devoted family man who knew how to show courage and confidence for a good future. “
