Levi, Shalom (Salem)

Son of Ovadia and Zahara. He was born on January 1, 1935 in the city of Dala in Yemen. He studied at the Talmud Torah in his home. He immigrated to Israel in 1949. He was drafted into the IDF in April 1953. He was wounded while carrying out his duties and died of his wounds on 20.11.1953. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. A synagogue in his name was built by the mother with money that was kept with her in order to make her son’s wedding; The synagogue is called Or-Shalom.
