Levi (Seri), Menachem
Menachem (Seri), son of Yonah and Aharon Levi, was born in 1925 in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, where he studied in Yeshivah. During the struggle against the British, Menachem joined the Irgun underground, and with his comrades in the underground he participated in the War of Independence and fell in battle during an enemy counter-attack on a Jewish settlement on the 3rd of Sivan, June 10, 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
