Racheli loved her role and every day returned home full of experiences, and her commanders were also impressed by her talent. Colonel Yishai, commander of the unit, relates: “Racheli started out as a programmer in the equipment center. She led her colleagues in the unit in her quest for excellence and for the integrity of her mission and performance. We do not encounter every day a serious soldier with high personal abilities and motivation, as Raheli demonstrated in her image. Racheli represented the best of the youth with her wit, glittering eyes and a perpetual smile. “On February 14, 2001, Raheli was killed in a terrorist attack at the Azor junction, and that morning she arrived by bus from Ashkelon and waited at the bus stop for Tel Hashomer. He was killed by seven soldiers and one civilian, and the other two were killed: Sgt. Magdish Ofir, Sergeant Iluz David, Sergeant Weiner Sarah-Jolie, Sergeant Polonsky Kochi, Corporal Manvich Alexander, Corporal Krisi Yasmin and Sima Shitrit . Sigal, her best friend from Ashkelon who served with her, was seriously injured in the attack. At the age of nineteen, Racheli was in the nouvelle.
