Levi, Ofer
Son of Esther and Yosef, was born on August 31, 1965, in a welfare moshav, where he studied at the elementary school in Even Shmuel and continued his studies at the vocational high school Shafir in carpentry. He liked the carpentry work and enjoyed preparing a present for his parents and the rest of his family. Ofer was devoted to his family, and most liked his mother and aunt’s company. He loved the fraternal atmosphere of his family. He was quiet and disciplined, and he always responded willingly to help anyone. During basic training, his commander reported that “Ofer began to flourish and to discover himself.” He was a quiet and humble fellow, and despite the extreme shift from the small moshav to the army, Ofer adapted well to the army and did not have any difficulties. Ofer served in the IDF for only 5 weeks, and on July 1, 1983, he fell in the line of duty. He was 18 years old when he died. Ofer was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Rovha. He left behind his parents and six brothers and sisters
