Levi, Moshe (Musa)


Son of Rivka and Baruch, was born on 21.12.1922 in Jerusalem, attended elementary and high school and was a member of the Hagana from the age of 17. During the days of El Alamein, And served there for about six months. After his return to Jerusalem, when he finished his service, he began to work in the government measurement department in Jenin among Arabs, and thus he learned and learned their language and customs. While working, he enriched his knowledge of the Arab people. His last place of work was in the documents department of the Jewish National Fund. From the early days of the War of Independence, he served in Jerusalem and even went with the company, which went to seek the traces of the “LAH” department, all of whose members were killed. As she approached the village of Beit Jamal, she was attacked by an Arab gang and Moshe was hit by a sniper and died on the spot. He was buried on the Mount of Olives. During his short period of service, he displayed courage and coolness and filled responsible positions in battle. His name was engraved on the monument erected in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in memory of those who perished in the Jewish Quarter and the memory of soldiers who fell in the battle for Jerusalem and were buried in the Mount of Olives
