Levi, Mordechai
Mordechai, son of Zvia and Zachariah, was born in 1951. He attended the religious public school in Ganei Tikva and later went on to study at the Azata High School in Be’er Sheva, at the “Onim” school, In Kfar Saba, and in the Technical School of the Israel Air Force in Haifa Mordechai was a diligent and intelligent student, and he was an outstanding sports enthusiast, and for several years he was a member of the soccer team in his home, Ganei Tikva. To a traditional Yemenite family, Mordechai was devoted and loyal to his parents, serving as the spirit of the beast in the house and guiding his brothers in everything they did. He was always honest and conscientious and always willing to help others, and was serious about his approach to life, but he was also eager to make progress in the field of electronics, where he paid his army service as an apprentice to the IAF Technical School. In the middle of August 1970 and was assigned to the liaison corps. After basic training, and after completing his training course in communications technicians, he was trained as a communications technician. He was an excellent soldier, loved by his commanders and his comrades in arms. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Mordechai was with his unit in Sinai. He took part in the difficult battles of braking, crossing the Suez Canal and breaking into Egyptian territory.
