Levi, Leon (“Tzah”)


Son of Pinchas and Rachel. He was born on the 8th of Nisan 5704 (8.4.1934) in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The family immigrated to Israel in 1949 after Leon graduated from elementary school in his homeland. He tended to sport and dealt with him during his free time, and for his livelihood he worked on polishing mirrors. In November 1952, he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Artillery Corps, where he participated in the Sinai Campaign, and from time to time he went to reserve duty, and was also in the Six Day War on the first day of the battles, on the 6th of Iyar 5727 (5.6.1967) Um was injured when he was hit in the artillery position and was buried at the military emergency cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery
