Levi (Kipur), Yehuda


Son of Shfika (Shfeya) and Yehoshua, was born on the 3rd of Sivan, June 11, 1929 in Turkey. He immigrated to Israel in 1945. At the outbreak of the War of Independence Yehuda joined the army and served in the Givati ​​Brigade. On the night of 31.5.1948, the Givati ​​forces raided the Egyptian column in Ashdod, and the soldiers encountered heavy Egyptian fire, and on that day, on the 22nd of Iyar, May 31, 1948 he fell. A memorial monument was erected in the military cemetery on Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem for those who fell and their burial place is unknown.
