son of Miriam and Yehuda. Born in 1915 in Constantinople, Turkey, he immigrated to Israel in 1923. In 1937, he was offered a long and responsible job in Afula, which served the communities in the valley – the supervision of the electricity lines. He accepted the proposal willingly and fulfilled his duty of devotion and diligence, while indirectly and directly dealing with Haganah matters. On Adar I 5708 (12.2.1948), when the news was received that high voltage lines were no longer providing light and strength to Afula and many settlements, Israel, and his comrades went to Wadi Ara to find out where the sabotage was and to repair it. In this operation, Israel was assassinated by Arabs who attacked him, He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Afula, and left a wife, and two daughters.
